Danceable Jazz
With the "Casa Loma Jazz Band" you can offer your guests musical enjoyment that will make not only lovers of New Orleans jazz hearts beat faster. The seven musicians are used to put a thoroughly mixed audience in a cheerful dancing mood with swinging melodies and rhythms. The acoustically and visually well-groomed band is suitable for your company event as well as for weddings, birthdays and apéritifs.
New Orleans Jazz and Swing
The ensemble cultivates the New Orleans style of the 1920s and the swing style of the early 1930s. They inspire their audience with standards like "Alexander's Ragtime Band", "Mood Indigo" or "When You're Smiling", but also revive rather unknown numbers. Old Time Jazz at its best for fans, connoisseurs and those who want to become one.
The history of the "Casa Loma Jazz Band"
The name of the "Casa Loma Jazz Band", founded in 1994, is an allusion to the "Casa Loma Orchestra", a big band that was successful in New York around 1928. The seven passionate musicians of the "Casa Loma Jazz Band" have earned themselves an excellent reputation with countless performances in Switzerland and the neighbouring countries of Germany and France. One of the highlights in the band history was the 1st place at the 15th Megève Jazz Contest. Three CDs are currently available from the band.
