Stories from the farm
The musical-theatrical stories told by Kurt & Daisy are set in the Emmital in their home town of Schattegibeleggtäli. The genuine American Daisy and the simple farmer Kurt live there with their cow Dorli and the forgetful stableman Ruedi.
The episodes from the life of Kurt & Daisy are framed with vocal interludes in the styles of rock, pop, jazz, blues and folk. Very expressive Kurt accompanies the bluesy, voluminous voice of Daisy on his acoustic guitar. Objects from Daisy's household partly serve as percussion.
The current program: "Stierigi WG - huuse & pfuuse be Kurt & Daisy"
There is movement in the Schattgibeleggtäli. The cow Dorli is enlarging her pastureland and finally wishes for a suitable bull to go with her three cloned friends and to ensure peace and order in the barn. That's why Kurt & Daisy are also looking for a suitable roommate to support stableman Ruedi, to help Daisy in the house and garden and to relieve Kurt on the farm. For this purpose they organize a musical-cabaret WG-casting to find "the right one".
The duo and their four programs
The music cabaret duo "Kurt & Daisy" has been performing since 2000. When performing at a private event, the duo usually plays 45 to 60 minutes, at least 30 minutes. For cultural commissions the duo plays the whole program of up to 110 minutes. The episodes from the life of Kurt and Daisy are framed by vocal interludes in the styles of rock, pop, jazz, blues and folk. Kurt accompanies the bluesy, voluminous voice of Daisy on the acoustic guitar with great expressiveness. Objects from Daisy's household serve as percussion instruments.
