"Bendorim" offers you and your guests a heartwarming and profound program, cheerful, melancholic and spirited. The repertoire ranges from rarities of almost forgotten Yiddish songwriters to newly arranged folk songs, songs of swinging Broadway and contemporary pieces. The songs are sung exclusively in Yiddish. Supplemented with anecdotes and interludes, they are easily understood by the audience.

A man in love sings his Song of Songs for his beloved like King Solomon - with a lot of swing. A happy father wants to celebrate, dance and drink until he drops. A couple would like to be young again, but the young people refuse to come back; they think that they should have enjoyed life a little more. A call to the workers to resist and rebel.

The Quartet

Dela Hüttner studied classical singing and choral conducting. She is a freelance concert singer and choir director and teaches solo singing. Karin Meier studied jazz singing and classical singing. She is a composer, arranger and permanent member of the Lucerne Jazz Orchestra. Stefanie Kunckler studied jazz double bass and works as a freelance musician and bass teacher. Jürg Luchsinger studied accordion, performs as soloist and chamber musician, composes theatre music and works as a music teacher.
