A Musical Journey of Discovery
This trio takes you and your guests on a musical journey where you’ll discover new sounds. They play Swiss folk music—interpreted by either-but in a modern, creative, and simply different way.
In addition to their own compositions, the three musicians’ repertoire includes folk music from Greece, Sweden, and Finland, as well as jazz standards, musette, klezmer, tango, and classical music. The trio adds its own personal touch to every piece, experimenting with unconventional instrument combinations, unusual arrangements, or original reinterpretations.
The Musicians
Christian Bertschi (clarinet, bass clarinet, byrbine, recorder) studied clarinet at the universities of the arts in Bern and Zurich and performs in various ensembles and projects. He also works as an elementary school music teacher and teaches clarinet.
Marc Roman Lehmann plays the Schwyzerörgeli and electric bass and performs in various groups ranging from Ländler to jazz. He took instrumental lessons with Markus Flückiger.
Christian Lienhard (double bass, electric bass, drums, percussion) performs in groups spanning various genres, including rock/pop, jazz, folk, light music, and classical. He is a drum teacher and the director of a youth music program. He completed his training at the Bern University of Music and Performing Arts, the Kalaidos University of Music, and the Bern Cantonal Music Association.
