Virtuoso, racy and for the heart
The Schwyzerörgerli-Quartett Längenberg offers traditional Swiss country music, played with three Schwyzerörgeli and a double bass. The varied repertoire includes pieces from the regions of Bern, Graubünden and central Schwyz as well as numerous original compositions played in the Bernese style. True to the motto "Music is the wordless language of emotions", the quartet will delight your guests with virtuoso compositions, sometimes played in a racy manner and sometimes more for the heart.
The four musicians
Bruno Marti (*1961) has been playing the Schwyzerörgeli since his youth. He has been active in various formations and has been playing with SQ Längenberg since 2012. Several of his own compositions have also been released on recordings.
André von Siebenthal (*1999) has been playing the Schwyzerörgeli since childhood, inspired by his family. He has already familiarized himself with various styles and has been playing in place of Ueli Burri since the beginning of 2024. He enriches the repertoire of SQ Längenberg with his original compositions.
Daniel Kissling (*1965) has played in various formations and with various Schwyzerörgeli greats such as Urs Glauser and Peter Zinsli since the 1970s. He joined the SQ Längenberg in 1982. He has published over 100 of his own compositions.
Benz Hefti (*1967) began playing bass and Schwyzerörgeli as a self-taught musician at the age of 13. In 1984 he founded the Bergmoos Schwyzerörgeli Quartet. In 1992 he joined the SQ Längenberg. He still plays the bass violin there today and also incorporates his own compositions into the repertoire.
