Own style
Singer-songwriter Juan Carlos Zeta delights his audience with funky, Latin American rhythms and personal lyrics that linger in the memory. Born in Chile, he performs solo or together with his band, which consists of Cuban bassist Jorge Torres and percussionist Roland Wäger from Baden. The musicians have been playing together for 15 years and have already performed on numerous stages.
As the only Swiss Latin act to perform acoustically, the three musicians combine elements from various styles such as rock, pop and funk with their Latin American sound, creating a unique listening experience. Their sound is based on the warmth of the nylon guitar and the powerful combination of acoustic bass and Latin percussion - consisting of congas, cajón, pandeiro - and acoustic drums.
The musician
Juan Carlos Zeta was born in Chile and grew up in Santiago until he was 13 years old. After his family moved to Switzerland, he discovered rock music and formed his first band. Latin America has always remained the home of his heart and continues to inspire his music to this day. He studies Musical Creation at the Zurich University of the Arts and writes, composes, produces and mixes songs, also for other artists.
