Unique style

Influences from jazz, rock, electronica, folk and reggae can be heard - Manic Musette have developed a very personal, varied style. Their songs are sometimes good and sweet, sometimes biting and angry, and allow melodies full of longing to meet complex harmonies. The Bernese duo's songs are soulful, surprising, full of humor - and guaranteed to be unique. This musical gem will turn your vernissage, company aperitif or birthday party into something very special.

The band

Manic Musette - that's Joanna Nowotny and Christian Vetsch from Bern. Joanna never actually wanted to be a singer - the trained pianist came to songwriting and singing by chance. Before she started performing her own songs, she gained experience as an instrumentalist with various bands. Professionally, however, she deals with literature - which is why she likes to see a song as a short story with sounds that accompany the narrative.

Christian, on the other hand, wanted to be on stage even as a teenager: he played over 100 concerts with his blues and funk band as a youngster. In his early 20s, he studied at the Frankfurt Musikwerkstatt, a small jazz academy. In his spare time, he was and still is involved in various formations as a guitarist and singer.

The performance

The band will be happy to coordinate the performance at your event with you in advance. The following options can be booked:

• Variant 1: Private event, performance either with acoustic amps or PA (speakers and mixer) depending on size.
  
• Option 2: Business/commercial event, PA system can be provided by the band and will be quoted at cost.
