Folk music, jazz and Irish folk at your party
Do you like honest and natural music? Do you appreciate traditional instruments and virtuoso sounds? Hanspeter Ulrich is a very experienced Schwyzerörgel player. However, he not only elicits round Ländler tunes from his instrument, but also old jazz pieces, Irish folk songs and klezmer: songs of Jewish folk music. You are welcome to choose what to play at your party. Hanspeter Ulrich prefers to perform without amplification, which is no problem for audiences of up to 50 people.
Optional: Other musicians and/or input lecture
Book Hanspeter Ulrich solo or with other musicians (pianists, bassists, accordionists, wind players). He will also be happy to tell you and your guests about the history and construction of the Schwyzerörgeli. Let us advise you on how the performance can be optimally integrated into your event.
The musician
Hanspeter Ulrich had his first Schwyzerörgeli quartet while still at school. He later devoted himself to concertante Central Swiss folk music with the "Kapelle Kari Ulrich". He first immersed himself in the world of old jazz with the "Heman Band". From 1999 to 2022, he was a member of the successful band "Follchlore", which played Swiss folk music as well as Irish folk and music from Scandinavia. Today he performs solo, with "Alpenjazz" or with his own folk band. Hanspeter Ulrich has taken part in numerous CD productions as well as radio and television broadcasts in Switzerland and abroad. He now works full-time as a musician and music teacher.
