Colorful repertoire
From Finnish waltzes and Argentinian tangos to Balkan circle dances and Canadian fiddle music - the Strello band's repertoire offers the right style for every taste. The three-piece formation plays original compositions and sophisticated arrangements of well-known pieces and entices its audience to dance and dream.
Unplugged or amplified
Be it for your wedding, a vernissage, a cultural event or as background music for your Christmas dinner: Strello's charming sounds create an enchanting atmosphere. Since 2013, the trio has been bringing a variety of sounds and virtuosic joy of playing to streets, stages and gardens - all over Switzerland. Strello adapts to your event - whether unplugged in the open air or amplified on stage.
The band
Violinist Jennifer Bartmess has been playing her instrument since early childhood. Jazz, manouche, swing and Americana are particularly close to her heart. She toured the USA, Europe and the Middle East with various bands and orchestras before landing in Switzerland and with Strello in 2013.
David Häggi combines sounds from different cultures in his accordion playing: He expressively interprets melodies from Eastern Europe, South America and France as well as his own compositions and dialect songs. The musician, who grew up in Schaffhausen, has been passing on his broad musical knowledge at the Bern Accordion School since 2016.
Tobias Doppler has already played double bass and electric bass in various bands. From rock, reggae and ska to singer-songwriter and folk, he feels at home in a wide variety of styles. He travels all over Switzerland and enjoys playing in pubs and concert venues just as much as outdoors in nature.
