With the Duo Geminis you offer your guests high quality musical entertainment. Maria José Burguillos is a trained opera singer and uses her powerful voice both for the performance of modern songs and as vocal accompaniment to classical music (for larger events also with symphony orchestra). Accompanied by guitarist Elisabeth Trechslin, the Spanish singer will enrich your event with the most stirring lyrical and rhythmic songs of Latin America.
The repertoire
Most of the songs from the repertoire of the duo Geminis are songs sung in Spanish from various Latin American genres such as tango, rumba, bolero and bossa nova. On request, the two women also present English pop song classics by the Beatles or Elvis. Whether in concert or as background music, at weddings, corporate events or congresses: Look forward to a balanced mixture of romantic, passionate and popular songs.
The musicians
The singer Maria José Burguillos was born in Spain. She completed her "Master Lirico" at the University of Madrid and subsequently performed in Spain and Italy with various orchestras. Since 2011 she lives in Glarus and is a member of the Glarner Singverein.
The guitarist Elisabeth Trechslin completed her education at the Winterthur Conservatory, followed by numerous master classes. She teaches individual and ensemble lessons at the Music School and the Winterthur Conservatory and performs in various chamber music formations.
