The Saddle Creek Country Band has been on the Swiss country music scene for 20 years - and knows how to get the audience going. The five musicians alternate between playing different instruments and four of them take turns on lead vocals. With this versatility and the consistently good atmosphere among the musicians, the band also manages to win over listeners who are not considered die-hard country fans.

Influences from blues and gospel

However, the band's varied repertoire is not limited to country music. Saddle Creek cannot be pigeonholed, because due to the different musical origins of the band members, traces of blues, gospel and rock'n'roll, but also European and even native influences can be recognized. The various genres within country music, such as Texmex or Cajun, are also taken into account. The repertoire includes pieces such as "Folsom Prison Blues" by Johnny Cash, "Wagon Wheel" by Darius Rucker, "Long Gone Lonesome Blues" by Hank Williams and "The Tennessee Waltz" by Patti Page.

Fiddle and pedal steel guitar

The five artists play a total of twelve different instruments, including the two main instruments of country music, the fiddle and the pedal steel guitar. The continuous three-part vocals round off the band's portfolio and win over every audience.
